The three-week course (9 ECTS) of the 2016 edition will cover the following areas. Week 1 introduces basic epidemiological concepts and study designs, and covers the fundamentals of statistical methods in epidemiology. Week 2 covers case-control studies in-depth, introduces the common regression models in epidemiology (logistic, Cox, Poisson) and gives students the opportunity to practice the analysis of epidemiological datasets using the Stata statistical package. Week 3 offers a choice of modules: advanced topics in statistical analysis, advanced topics in epidemiology, environmental epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, reproductive epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, personalized public health, causal mediation analysis, risk communication and epidemiology.
